Behind the success of Marea is the experience and passion of chef Filippo Martinelli, who has transformed his family heritage into a project dedicated to contemporary fish cuisine. Martinelli’s culinary tradition has its roots in a family of chefs and pastry chefs, where the love for food has been handed down for generations. From his great-grandparents, one cook for the counts Manin and the other pastry chef in Giovinazzo, to mother Silvia’s home cooking, Filippo has inherited respect for authentic flavours and the value of human relationships.

His training is enriched by experiences in the star restaurants Joia di Pietro Leeman in Milan and Mosconi di Ilario Mosconi in Luxembourg, where he refined his technique and his vision of a cuisine that blends elegance and simplicity.

In addition to Martinelli, the team of Marea plays a key role. The brigade works in perfect harmony, with a deep attention to detail, to turn each ingredient into dishes that enhance the flavor of the sea. The same care is reflected in the proposal of cocktails, designed to complete the gastronomic experience and offer a unique moment of pleasure.
